House Numbers in copper, brass, and tile

House numbers (click to see our selection) can really perk up the looks of your abode. Ours are made of hefty chunks of solid copper and brass. We offer about seventy five different and unique styles. If you are looking for Victorian, Colonial, Craftsman, Art Deco, Retro,  Futuristic, Rustic or even Southwest styling then we will have something for you. It will be well worth your while to link over to our site and see the many different varieties of numerals we have to offer. Copper and brass numerals are not coated with any clear product like lacquer. That looks great in the store, but once you get them installed they almost immediately begin to deteriorate and peel off. They will end up looking awful! Our numbers are pre-aged with an abrasive that gives them an attractive matte finish. Soon after installing them on your home they will begin to develop a natural patina. The brass gets somewhat darker over time, but will stay relatively light and consequently it is an excellent choice if you are installing on a dark background. It is important to have good contrast between the numerals and the background to aid in readability. On the other hand, with a light background a good choice would be copper since the copper will ultimately become quite dark, somewhat like a penny does. Of course a penny is also copper. Our numbers are available either 1/8 inch or 1/4 inch thick. That is hefty! Also, standard sizes are four inches or six inches tall. What if you need bigger or smaller pieces? Call us...we can probably work something out for you. Need a silver metal? We sometimes provide these in aluminum for those interested. Pricing is the same as brass, so even though that is considered custom the price won't be a nasty surprise.

You might want to know how they are attached. They are pre-drilled and can be nailed up with one inch long brass escutcheon pins (included). These are basically small nails with an unobtrusive round head that are typically used in areas such as behind doorknobs where good appearance is important. As they say, if it doesn't add, it subtracts...and these definitely add.

Every so often we run across someone who wants numerals that are not pre-drilled for nails since they may want to epoxy them to marble or something similar. We are happy to accommodate you in a situation like that, but of course you will need to bring it to our attention at the time of order.

In addition to our metal pieces, we also offer tiles that have their own unique appeal. The tile numerals are made of terra cotta and are available in a natural terra cotta with either black or white lettering. Also, they can be had with a white background with black numbers. There are also some decorative accent tiles that can be used to enhance the overall appearance in conjunction with the number tiles.

We invite you to browse on our site for awhile. We operate one of the few sites in the internet that refuses to post advertising except discreet links to our sister companies, so you'll find your visit to be relaxing and pleasantly devoid of obnoxious flashing animations and sales pitches. Hope to see you there!
